Paul Henry Thornapple Trail Maps and Information





Starting at the intersection of 44th Street and Kalamazoo Avenue in Kentwood, the Paul Henry Thornapple Trail winds its way southeast to 60th Street. You can go east from there along 60th Street, using a paved trail on the north side of the road to the intersection of East Paris and 60th Street.

The southern section of the Paul Henry Trail starts at 68th Street, near East Paris. To reach the southern part of the trail, you'll need to ride your bike along the shoulder on East Paris from 60th Street to 68th Street. The Paul Henry Trail starts on the south side of 68th Street and continues south to Caledonia.

On the southeast side of Caledonia, the Paul Henry Trail resumes at 100th Street and M-37. The trail is mostly grass and is not maintained. It goes south to beyond 108th Street.

The trail is used for bicycling, jogging, roller-blading, and walking.

At 60th Street, the trail meets up with the M-6 Trail, a trail that parallels the M-6 expressway.

There are restaurants near the northern edge of the trail at 44th Street.

Nearby Trails

The East-West Trail connects with the Paul Henry Thornapple Trail north of 52nd Street and goes west to Kalamazoo Avenue and ends at Division Avenue. The trail is paved, with a section that is a wooden boardwalk. The trail can be used for biking, walking, and jogging.

In Kentwood, there is a paved trail that goes along Walma to 44th Street and then goes north along Walnut Hills. The trail meanders to Stanback Park and then goes west to Breton Road. The trail can be used for biking, jogging and walking.
